MIAC report draws ire of Congressmen

Old-Thinker News | March 19, 2009

By Daniel Taylor

Presidential nominee for the Constitution party Chuck Baldwin announced on the Alex Jones show today that Congressman Ron Paul, former Congressman Bob Barr and himself have sent a letter to Missouri Governor Jay Nixon in response to the controversial MIAC report. Baldwin stated that he feels confident that legal action may be pursued if Governor Nixon does not take action on the MIAC report.

The MIAC (Missouri Information Analysis Center) report, titled "The Modern Militia Movement" associates Paul, Barr, and Baldwin with dangerous white supremacist militia members. The report functions as an intelligence report issued to police who use the information to profile potential criminal activity. As the report states,

“MIAC is the mechanism to collect incident reports of suspicious activities to be evaluated and analyzed in an effort to identify potential trends or patterns of terrorist or criminal operations within the state of Missouri..."

The MIAC report associates issues that the alternative media - and increasingly seen in the mainstream - has been covering with dangerous and potential terrorist groups. "These theories varied but almost always involved a globalist dictatorship the "New World Order (NWO)", which conspired to exploit the working class citizens," states the report. The report identifies those who display the "political paraphernalia" of Ron Paul material as possible members of a dangerous militia organization. Chuck Baldwin writes,

"This report is not original, of course. During the Clinton administration, a Phoenix Federal Bureau of Investigation and Joint Terrorism Task Force explicitly designated “defenders” of the Constitution as “right-wing extremists.” However, the MIAC report significantly expands on earlier documents and is the first known document to actually name names."

A copy of the collaborative letter from Ron Paul, Baldwin and Barr will be posted on infowars.com soon.
